# Upgrading & Billing

> How to upgrade your plan, manage billing, and understand your subscription.

## How to upgrade

  <Step title="Open Settings">
    Tap **Settings** from the navigation (gear icon on desktop, Settings tab on mobile).

  <Step title="Go to Your Plan">
    In Settings, find the **Your Plan** card. It shows your current plan and credit balance.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Click Upgrade">
    Click **Upgrade Plan** to view available plans and select the one that fits your needs.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Complete payment">
    Enter your payment details. AIHDStudio uses **Paddle** for secure payment processing. Payment is accepted via card and other methods supported by Paddle.

After upgrading, your new credits are added immediately and your plan is active right away.

## Billing cycle

* Subscriptions bill **monthly** on the date you first upgraded
* You'll receive a receipt by email after each charge
* Credits refresh at the start of each new billing period

## Cancelling your subscription

To cancel:

1. Go to **Settings → Your Plan**
2. Click **Manage Subscription**
3. Select **Cancel Plan**

After cancellation:

* Your plan stays active until the end of the current billing period
* Credits already in your account remain usable until the period ends
* You revert to the Starter plan at the end of the period

See the [Refund Policy](https://homedesignerstudio.vercel.app/refund) for full details. Generally, refunds are available within a short window after purchase if no credits have been used.

## Payment security

All payments are processed by **Paddle**, a globally trusted payment provider. AIHDStudio never stores your card details. Paddle handles all billing, invoicing, and compliance on behalf of AIHDStudio as a Merchant of Record.
